The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is seeking an archivist to join the team for a three-month cataloguing post. The role will focus on cataloguing the Cullinane Archive Collection (CAC) to international standards and making the collection available via our online catalogue Access to Memory (AtoM).

ITMA is delighted to announce the awarding of Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2022 funding from The Heritage Council of Ireland for its project “Physical to Digital: A Complete Scanning Solution for the Irish Traditional Music Archive.”

ITMA premises will close to the public at 5 pm on Thursday 14 April 2022 and re-open on Tuesday 19 April at 10 am.

ITMA is delighted that John Bowman featired a 5-part series each Sunday 27 February - 27 March based on ITMA's latest publication ‘The New Demesne: Field recordings made by Alan Lomax in Ireland, 1951’.

The Irish Traditional Music Archive and Music Network present the world premiere of Oblivion / Seachmalltacht / ᖃᐅᔨᒪᔭᐅᔪᓐᓃᖅᑐᑦ, a multimedia performance, moving image and sound installation created by Aideen Barry in collaboration with internationally renowned Inuit Canadian throat singer and song-writer RIIT ᕇᑦ, Irish harper Aisling Lyons and award-winning designer and milliner Margaret O’Connor.
