Please visit the Search Page on the website. This will tell you if what you need is available in ITMA, and in many cases may bring you directly to the song words or tune notes.

To access the building, please use our doorbell at the front door. A dedicated member of staff will meet you at the front door and guide you to the cloakrooms.

It is library policy that no food can be consumed in the main reading room. Water can be brought in a secure container and must be placed on the floor throughout the duration of your visit.

The Duty Librarian will be on hand to demonstrate how to access our main catalogues and assist with research queries.

Yes, wheelchair access is available at the back of the building via the Fitzwilliam Place entrance. There is a ground level doorbell at the front entrance to notify staff.

There is a chair lift available as you enter the building which provides access to the ground floor. It is recommended that wheelchair users bring someone to assist them with the chair lift.

Access to our catalogues and main collections is available on the ground floor in our Special Collections Room. The Duty Librarian will be on hand to assist.

No, ITMA provides a reference library service only.You can access our library materials onsite and take reference scans or photographs. The Duty Librarian will be on hand to assist you.

Visitors are prohibited from taking pictures of any unique archival material. Visitors are free to take reference pictures of published works on their mobile devices.

Yes, ITMA provides a cloakroom for visitors. It is required that all visitors use our self-service lockers for handheld belongings and backpacks before entering the main reading room.

Yes, ITMA provides free Wi-Fi for all visitors.
