The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.
At ITMA, you do not need an appointment to access our archive.
Our main reading room is fully open to the public – 5 days a week.
A visit is naturally the best option to fully benefit from our collections and information resources. An appointment is not necessary, unless you have special requirements, are part of a small group, or wish to talk to a particular member of staff. In these cases it is advisable to phone before travelling.
