“Indeed, isn’t there one to be found everywhere?” I heard a fellow musician reply with this remark when told the name of this tune. Showmen onstage or playing at Irish music sessions are not welcome and tend to disrupt concentration or impetus for playing among musicians. This hornpipe was a great favorite of Frank Cassidy, a wonderful fiddler from Teel in in Co. Donegal, who had a lovely setting of the tune. Its origin is unknown, but its melody lives on.
