I’ve always heard this tune with Jimmy Ward’s name attached as its title. Jimmy was a very amiable banjo player who played with the Kilfenora Céilí Band throughout the 1950s and 60s. He lived in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, where he and his wife had a grocery shop.
