    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    Lucy Farr was originally from hear Ballinakill in Co. Galway. Her maiden name was Lucy Kirwan, and before she emigrated to London, she had already acquired a sizeable number of single jigs from her fiddle-playing father. This one here is another one from the repertoire of her father that I heard her play on an old cassette recording.
