The Curragh is an area of treeless terrain in the northern part of the ‘Short Grass’ county, or Co. Kildare. It’s a meeting place for horse racing events, including the well-attended Irish Grand National. Tipperary’s Paddy O’Brien also composed this one and gave it the above title.
