This one was popularized by box player Dermot Byrne of Donegal, and I eventually learned it from several people as I heard it from time to time. I associate this reel with the fiddle music of James Byrne (1946-2008), who lived near Meenacross, Co. Donegal, and whose repertoire represented the music locally played around southwest Donegal for generations.
