I heard Eleanor play this on a cassette tape of a session in Chicago in 1973. Eleanor is remembered for her wonderful playing of jigs, reels, etc. on a piano. She became known as Eleanor Kane Neary after her marriage to Jimmy Neary of Co. Mayo, who was a fiddler and a source of some wonderful tunes. I wish to thank B/C accordion player Marty Fahey for giving me the tape that included Eleanor’s playing of this reel.
