This is an old Wexford hornpipe which was recorded by button box player George Ross in 1956. Co. Wexford is a big hornpipe county, but the name of Coey is not remembered for tune compositions except for the tune title here. This setting of the hornpipe I got from listening to céilí bands on radio when I was getting to know the music.
