In its original state, this was a Scottish fiddle composition sometimes credited to James ‘Scott’ Skinner. Over the last seventy years it has been been reinterpreted by James ‘Lad’ O’Beirne and later by Paddy O’Brien who presented the tune on the B/C accordion. Other accordionists to follow were Kevin Keegan and Joe Burke. Andy McGann also played it with the title ‘Fly By Night.’
