This is also a well-known song around the west Cork Gaeltacht area. It was first recorded on a Gael-Linn LP by Diarmuid Ó Súilleabháin who sang it with Ceoltóirí Laighean on the recording now known as ‘The Crooked Road’. That recording is now part of a 2010 double CD re-release, entitled ‘CNUAS’ from Gael-Linn.
