An old recording of Charlie Mulvihill with his son Tommy on fiddle and daughter Kathleen on piano gives me an early memory of hearing this jig. Tom Ennis was a Chicago piper and contemporary of Francis O’Neill and Sergeant James Early. In recent times, I’ve heard James Kelly playing it on one of his CDs.
