The late Chicago fiddler Johnny McGreevy surprised me with this jig some years ago during a late night session in ‘The Palace’, the apartment that houses musicians who play at John D. McGurk’s in Saint Louis. Johnny said he got a lot of old tunes from Patsy Cauley, an old fiddler from Chicago.
