    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    I will continue to mention Ciarán Mac Mathúna’s radio program ‘A Job of Journeywork’, because it was through Ciarán’s presentation of players such as Joe Burke that I was able to tape and learn reels like ‘Julia Delaney’s’. I believe it was Tommy Potts who dug it out of the O’Neill collection and introduced it at the Piper’s Club in Thomas Street at some of the Saturday night sessions there in the late 1950s.
