I composed “The Drombeg March” in March 2023. The tune is closely tied to The Drombeg Céilí Band, which my friends and I came together to form in early 2022. The band takes its name from the renowned megalithic stone circle overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Glandore, West Cork. We have been fortunate to win three consecutive Senior Céilí Band titles at Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan, along with multiple medals at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. It has been a privilege to perform this tune with my friends at competitions, concerts and events over the past few years.
