Co. Kerry fiddler Dónal O’Connor gave me this reel through a recording of the Brosna Céilí Band. Kerry musicians tend to refer to it as ‘Waller’s Reel’. It got its title from another Kerryman of yore who returned home after a lengthly stay in the U.S. He brought the reel with him, which added to the local repertoire a bright star of a tune.
