This is one of fiddler Brendan McGlinchey’s compositions, which he wrote during the late 1960s. I learned it from a reel-to-reel recording of fiddler Seamus Connolly (of Killaloe, Co. Clare / Boston), who played it on radio as part of Ciarán Mac Mathúna’s Sunday presentation, ‘Ceolta Tire’. This was another radio programme on which Ciarán featured sean nós singing along with some traditional music.
