Francie was a B/C accordion player who was from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. I heard this hornpipe for the first time in 1966 when I was given a reel-to-reel of Francie’s playing. Piper Leo Rowsome is credited for introducing this one as part of his many radio performances of the 1940s and 1950s.
