The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.

Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

I wrote this jig for my inspirational, wonderful Mum, Cecilia who also happens to be the patron Saint of Music! She has being such a guiding light for me always and her love of music, song and dance was instilled in me from a very young age as she danced with me around the house as a child. Her support and encouragement to Dad, Louise and I knows no end and this tune is a tune of thanks to my very special Mum!
