    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.

    The support of donors ensures ITMA can deliver an increasingly better service. Without private support, the transformative year we experienced in 2023 would not have been possible.

    Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    The Merchant set [comp. Pádraig McEneany]

    We composed this set for the dancers in our class in O’Shea’s Merchant Pub on Bridge Street in Dublin.  We would like to dedicate the set to our dancers and to Ned O’Shea who has been a wonderful friend to us over the years.  The feature of the set is that each couple will dance in first top’s position.
