€10

Help ensure that the well of Irish music, song and dance is preserved for present and future generations.

€20

Donations of any level help ITMA digitise, preserve and offer free universal access to valuable materials that would otherwise be lost.

€100

The support of donors ensures ITMA can deliver an increasingly better service. Without private support, the transformative year we experienced in 2023 would not have been possible.

€200

Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

€250

Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

€500

ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

Tom Mulligan’s hornpipe [comp. Néillidh Ó Maolagáin]

from Compositions by Néillidh Ó Maolagáin

Hornpipe

Also known as:
Tom Mulligan's hornpipe [comp. Néillidh Ó Maolagáin]

My father Tom Mulligan was my first pipe teacher and taught me on his own set of C# pipes which were made in 1938 by James Mulchrone, originally from Abbeyshrule in County Longford and who was then making pipes in St Peter’s Road in Phibsborough, Dublin.

This hornpipe is a tribute to my father who inspired my love of Irish music, culture, language and the joy of life.
