    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.

    Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    Ón gcéad lá ar casadh air é, bhí Séamus Ennis an-tógtha le Darach Ó Clochartaigh, lena cheol, lena phortaireacht bhéil agus lena phearsantacht. Sa dialann an 1.7.1943 scríobh sé gur ‘seanfhear é atá beagán le cois 70 mbliana d’aois’ agus guth an-bhinn aige’. Scríobh Ennis gur mhaith le Darach gáire a bhaint as daoine agus go gcaillfí thú ‘ag breathnú ar a chuid geaitsí’. D’úsáideadh sé maide siúil ‘ag déanamh aithrise ar veidheal agus ar fhideog agus ag baint gháirí amach.
