    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.

    Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    Chuireadh Colm Ó Caodháin agus a mhuintir fáilte mhór i gcónaí roimh Shéamus Ennis. Sa dialann an 26.6.43 scríobh sé: ‘Is é Colm Ó Caodháin an fear is mó a dtaitníonn liom a bheith ag obair leis a casadh liom fós.’ Scríobh Ennis faoi Cholm: ‘Fear an-ghnaíúil é agus fonn gáirí i gcónaí air’. (26.5.43). Roinn Colm Ó Caodháin stór mór amhrán agus ceoil le Ennis agus bhailigh Ennis an-chuid go deo ó Cholm le linn a thréimhse mar bhailitheoir ceoil agus amhrán ag Coimisiún Béaloideasa Éireann. Leagan é an port seo a thóg Ennis ó Cholm, ar ‘The Bridal Jig’ a foilsíodh in Dance Music of Ireland (Uimh. 310) ag O’Neill agus i bhfoilseachán 1883 dar teideal Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (lch. 112). Tá sé freisin in Johnny O’Leary of Sliabh Luachra (Uimh. 311) agus tugadh san áireamh freisin é in Allan’s Irish Fiddler.
