Grace Toland, Director of ITMA, has announced that she intends to step down from her current role with effect from late Summer 2019

The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) wishes to recruit a creative and skilled Web and Social Media Content Manager for a one-year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of ITMA’s programme of themed digital Irish traditional music exhibitions in 2019 as well as our social media campaigns.

The first jazz conference in Ireland will take place at TU Dublin, Conservatory of Music and Drama, Rathmines from 17 January to 19 January 2019. ITMA will be on hand on Thursday 17th to 'play' the earliest known Irish jazz recording - a 1949 78 rpm disc recorded in Dublin.

The Irish Traditional Music Archive greatly regrets the recent death of its former Chairman Professor Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin (1950–2018) and extends its sympathies to his family, colleagues, and many friends.
