ITMA Celebrates World Book Day

With more than 25,000 books in our library, there's no better place to explore a world of information, art, and music than ITMA.

Books 1200X680
A selection of books from the collection at ITMA.

ITMA's collection ranges from rare early texts and classic collections of tunes to the very latest scholarship in traditional music. We've also got a selection of literature, poetry, and children's books that all take up the theme of Irish music. There's something here to suit everyone from student to scholar, and from casual music lover to devoted aficionado.

Even better, our collection is constantly expanding. We regularly publish a "Recent Publications and Acquisitions" list so that you can stay up to date on what's new. You also can check our entire catalogue—old and new—online for a title or author of interest.

Come in and explore for yourself! We're located at 73 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. Our library is open from 10am to 5pm on weekdays, with evening opening hours on Thursdays—no appointment needed. Check out our website for details of our next Saturday opening.

We also have a range of digital resources available on our website. Visit our digital library to see how we're re-imagining books in the digital era!

And remember: ITMA not only collects books, we are also a publisher. Visit our online shop or stop into 73 Merrion Square to browse or buy.

Happy World Book Day from all the staff at ITMA!
