Barry Gleeson is a Dubliner - a teacher, songwriter and a fine singer. He is an active and enthusiastic member of the Góilín Singers' Club and is an avid supporter of singing sessions and festivals nationwide. He has recorded three solo CDs, Path across the ocean (1995), I heard a bird at dawn (2005) & Tough night (2012). He also featured on the Góilín CD, The croppy's complaint celebrating the bicentenary of the United Irishmen Rising of 1798. He supports all of the major song festival nationwide and his contribution is always refreshing and thought provoking.
