John Campbell

(1933–2006)

John Campbell lived in Mullach Bán in the heart of the South Armagh countryside, an area renowned for its friendliness and hopitality. He was a singer of note but above all else a gifted storyteller. He  travelled the world entertaining audiences at festivals, recitals, universities and schools with his unique brand of humour. This humour was based on his past experiences in life. He had the gift of translating these experiences to be understood and enjoyed by an international audience. He performed worldwide with his near neighbour and singing friend, Len Graham. Len and John can be heard singing together on these tracks from the Góíilín Song Project.
