On 11 October 2018, Treasa Harkin joined broadcaster Michael Sullivan to chat about our 2018 ITMA Sort-A-Thon.

A Sort-A-Thon is an occasion for members of the public to lend a hand with the organisation of ITMA's ephemera collection. Ephemera refers to concert posters, programmes, tickets, souvenir t-shirts, and all of the "stuff" that is created around musical happenings. This "stuff" often reveals unique information about Irish Traditional Music, its performers, and history.

There's also a lot of it, so having our users help us with organising it all is a vital part of ensuring the collection at ITMA is searchable and materials accessible.

The interview broadcast on Near FM's Lifeline and can be heard online as a podcast. Listen now.
