Harper Laoise Kelly presents HUGH HIGGINS: A HARPER IN THE ERA OF ENLIGHTENMENT in Drawing from the Well for December 2021.

Laoise explores the music of harper Hugh Higgins, a native of Mayo, who participated in the 1792 Belfast Harp Festival, as well as the importance of the work of the young Edward Bunting, who was commissioned to take down the airs played by the harpers.

The video premieres online on Wednesday 15 December 2021, at 8 pm (Irish time) on ITMA website, Facebook, YouTube and IGTV.
