ITMA will host balladeers Jimmy Crowley and Eve Telford on Wednesday 8 February at 5.00 pm for the Dublin launch of their new album Hello: Child Ballads learned from Irish Travellers. The launch will be held in the ITMA reading room at 73 Merrion Square, it is free to attend and open to the public.

Enjoy an intimate evening of songs and stories. This new album draws on material from the Jim Carroll and Pat Mackenzie field recordings made of Irish Travellers in London which were generously donated to ITMA a number of years ago. It celebrates great singers such as Mary Delaney and ‘Pops’ Johnny Connors and was inspired by the 2004 album From Puck to Appleby. A sample of these recordings can be heard on the ITMA website here.
