Christmas on the Square: Padraig McGovern & Peter Carberry @ITMA

On 1 January 2016 ITMA launched its Facebook year with a wonderful video of uilleann piper Padraig McGovern playing The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba recorded in Armagh Cathedral. Tens of thousands of Facebook followers viewed, shared and enjoyed this virtuoso performance.

Therefore we think it fitting to end 2016 with a live performance by Padraig McGovern and accordion player Peter Carberry here in 73 Merrion Square.
This Leitrim/Longford duet are noted for the playing and promotion of traditional music of their native areas and especially that of old pipers. They released their critically acclaimed CD Forgotten Gems in 2013.

This event is being held in association with  Merrion Square Innovation Network, as part of Christmas on the Square, Saturday 26 November 2016.
