DEATH OF DAVID HAMMOND (1928–2008)
The Board of the Irish Traditional Music Archive deeply regrets the death on 25 August 2008, after a long illness, of David Hammond, a founding Board member of the Archive (1987–89). He made a valued contribution to the formation of the Archive and its ethos, and represented particularly the perspective of the English-language song tradition of Ulster. His easy-going and humorous good company will be missed.
